Every week I will be posting and commenting about a couple of the movies that are coming out on DVD. Each week there are a large number of DVDs that come out and I will attempt to pick the ones that you are most likely to know about, or the ones that I think need to be seen by more people. Below are the five DVDs that are coming out this week that I have selected.
Win Win (R)

Description: A struggling lawyer and volunteer wrestling coach’s chicanery comes back to haunt him when the teenage grandson of the client he’s double-crossed comes into his life.
Runtime: 1 hour 46 minuters
Studio: 20th Century Fox
What can I say about Win Win? I guess I can say that it was a “win win.” This movie had a perfect mix between comedy and drama. Sometimes with dramedies one part overshadows the other, but not in Win Win. I have to give this movie

, and a definite buy, but if you want to see it first it’s a good rent.
The Beaver (PG-13)

Description: A troubled husband and executive adopts a beaver hand-puppet as his sole means of communicating.
Runtime: 1 hour 31 minutes
Studio: Summit Entertainment
Ok so let’s just get this out of the way, The Beaver is not a “happy” movie. There are several humorous parts of this movie, but overall it is very dramatic. Personally I really enjoyed this movie because the problems seemed very realistic, although the beaver persona was very strange. For most people I would suggest this movie as a rent, but personally I can’t wait to own it (

).
The Greatest Movie Ever Sold (PG-13)

Description: A documentary about branding, advertising and product placement that is financed and made possible by brands, advertising and product placement.
Runtime: 1 hour 30 minutes
Studio: Sony Pictures Classics
Morgan Spurlock is up to it again. If you were a fan of Super Size Me or any of his other documentaries then The Greatest Movie Ever Sold is no different. This is a decent rent for anyone.
Blitz (R)

Description: A tough cop is dispatched to take down a serial killer who has been targeting police officers.
Runtime: 1 hour 37 minutes
Studio: Millennium Media Services
Blitz is basically just another one of Jason Statham’s action flicks. I would suggest this movie as a rent for anyone who is a fan of Statham and action movies.
NCIS Season 8 & NCIS: Los Angeles Season 2
Description: The cases of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
Studio: Paramount

Description: The Naval Criminal Investigation Service’s Office of Special Projects takes on the undercover work and the hard to crack cases in LA. Key agents are G. Callen and Sam Hanna, streets kids risen through the ranks.
Studio: Paramount
I love these shows. They are a couple of my favorite crime dramas on TV. Now I guess the question is, should you buy, rent, or pass on these DVD sets. If you are thinking pass then I challenge you to start these shows from the beginning as you are probably not a fan yet. If you are a fan and already own the previous seasons, then you will obviously be buying these as well. For those who aren’t collectors of DVD sets but are still fans then you probably would rent these. Either way I love these shows and would recommend them to anyone.
Unnecessary Mentionables**
- Sympathy for Delicious (Orlando Bloom, Mark Ruffalo)
Well that’s all the big ones for today. Check back next week to see whats new to DVD!!!
*Movie descriptions from IMDB
**The Unnecessary Mentionables are chosen when a movie or TV show doesn’t make the list, but has notable actors, or I just feel like including it.

Thanks for the update. What’s the review on Blitz? I like Statham as an actor, but, is the movie a buy or rent? Thanks.
The article published itself before it was finished, sorry for the inconvenience. It is finished now and I hope to know what you think.
Perfect! Rent it is…. Thanks!
