Every week I will be posting and commenting about a couple of the movies that are coming out on DVD. Each week there are a large number of DVDs that come out and I will attempt to pick the ones that you are most likely to know about, or the ones that I think need to be seen by more people. Below are the five DVDs that are coming out this week that I have selected.
This week will be a bit longer because I didn’t do one last week. Since there wasn’t much that came out last week I will just add them to the end of the article.
RELEASE DATE SEPT. 6
Hanna (PG-13)
Description: A 16-year-old who was raised by her father to be the perfect assassin is dispatched on a mission across Europe, tracked by a ruthless intelligence agent and her operatives.
Runtime: 1 hour 51 minutes
Studio: Universal Studios
I really enjoyed this movie. Who doesn’t like to see a kid who can beat up someone twice as big as them. I think that I liked this movie even more because it reminded me of The Professional (Natalie Portman, Jean Reno, Gary Oldman). In my opinion the movie is a solid

and is definitely worth owning. If you haven’t seen it then I suggest you should at least rent it to see why I like it so much.
Community Season 2 (Not Rated)
Description: A smarmy lawyer whose education is deemed void by the bar is forced to attend a local community college with an extremely eclectic staff and student body.
Runtime: 8 hours 24 minutes
Studio: Sony
This is one of those shows that is so crazily good in the first season that you think there is no possible way that it will be as good in the second season. That is not the case with Community. The second season was so good that it was even better than the amazing first. When it comes to 30 minute comedies, Community is by far the best, and I give it

. I am so excited for this season to come out on DVD that I may get it before I go back and buy the 1st season. So basically, if you must own a season of any comedy series, this would be the correct choice.
Description: When an alcoholic relapses, causing him to lose his wife and his job, he holds a yard sale on his front lawn in an attempt to start over. A new neighbor might be the key to his return to form.
Runtime: 1 hour 37 minutes
Studio: Roadside Attractions
This is not your typical Will Ferrell movie. Ferrell is straying out of his normal comedy genre to a bit more dramatic role in this dramedy. If you are a fan of Will Ferrell or a fan of his movie Stranger Than Fiction, then this is a definite rent. If you, however, are a huge Fe-rrell fan (like some people I know) then it may be an automatic buy. Either way, I suggest watching the trailer first to make your decision.
RELEASE DATE SEPT. 9
X-men: First Class (PG-13)
Description: In 1962, the United States government enlists the help of Mutants with superhuman abilities to stop a malicious dictator who is determined to start world war III.
Runtime: 2 hours 12 minutes
Studio: 20th Century Fox
X-men: First Class is one of the best, if not the best, superhero movie of the summer and it’s the best X-men movie in quite some time. It was a great prequel to the already established X-men series. I had always wondered how Xavier (Professor X) and Erik (Magneto) became enemies and set up the X-men universe that has been used for years, and this answered all of my questions with great pleasure. I give the movie a resounding

and a MUST BUY.
